Grain Free Granola

Easy and quick to make for a nutritious breakfast; high in essential fatty acids, low glycemic.


6 Cups of nut meal(almond, walnut or pecan-can be purchased at Bulk Barn or Costco or can be made using a blender from whole nuts)

6 Cups of combination of seeds and nuts-pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, coconut shreds or flakes, chia seeds, nuts

1/2 Cup honey

1/2 Cup coconut or avocado oil


Preheat oven to 300 Fahrenheit

Add honey to oil in small saucepan and warm to liquefy.

Combine and mix seeds and nuts in large roasting pan. Add oil/honey and mix well. Bake for 20-30 minutes, stirring every 5-10 minutes until desired crispness. The oven can be turned off before it is finished and granola left to crisp. Nut flours can burn easily, so monitor it well until you get used to the right timing for your oven and size of pan you are using.

When cool, if desired add Goji berries or some dried fruit.

Delicious served with fresh berries and almond milk and/or cultured coconut milk.
